[edit] Check your counter

I'm not entirely sure. The counter was added by another user, and taken at face value as an interim measure. We ultimately would like to have a better counter system so we can monitor the usual suite of access data. Just haven't spent the time needed to make a full function third party counter do the job. Now, if wikia has a full function counter system going that we can routinely access, that would be very helpful.

This counter seems to be showing page accesses per day, which I interpret as page views. That would work out to about 70 page views per day, most of which would be related to user content generation. If we are actually getting 500 to 1000 views per day, that would be particularly interesting, as it probably would include a substantial fraction of non-content generation related views---ie, folks browsing the site for information. I do not see it likely that we could be generating that many page views just through content generation, though some of our users are quite active.

So, why don't you tell me why you think we are getting 500 to 1000 page accesses per day? Bill 14:49, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
