Robert, of Bathurst, 9 January 1823, is on list of persons receiving an assigned convict (Fiche 3291; 4/4570D p.112)

Robert married Elizabeth Whittaker on 6 May 1834 in St James Church of England, Queens Square, Sydney, Cumberland County, New South Wales. The witnesses to the marriage of Elizabeth and Robert were Sarah Foote and Robert Bennett.

He worked as a shepherd in New South Wales.

On 12 January 1840 he was working as a yeoman in Bathurst, Bathurst County, New South Wales.

Later, he worked as a farmer.

Robert is buried at Round Swamp, Roxburgh County, New South Wales
